Not Bible Tech But Some Thoughts

About a year or two ago I believed that we were spiraling quickly towards the Rapture and the Abomination of Desolation. Russia, Turkey, Iran, Northern Africa, etc. were forming the alliances found in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Other inner ring countries such as Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, “Palestine”, etc. were aligning as in Psalm 83. It seemed imminent.

Make no mistake. It is still imminent but things seemed to calm down somewhat after the election of President Donald Trump. But things are heating up again.

It appears that Israel really wreaked havoc on its enemies since the Oct 7th terrorist attack. So much so that now it appears that Gaza will be fully under the IDF’s control and the population moved to the south of Gaza. They have already leveled a buffer zone in Lebanon where Hezbollah operated. Syria and Yemen are getting pummeled as we speak.

One major prophecy in the Bible is that Israel is restored and then the Jews are living in safety in un-walled villages and with no gates. With Israel winning all these battles recently it would seem they are working towards a much safer existence. They still catch rockets and get attacked though currently.

I could try to make a connection between the daily news and prophecy but many others much smarter than me do that for a living. But I can state with certainty the following.

The Bible is about the Nation of Israel. Period. It doesn’t describe the fate of anything other than Israel and the enemies of Israel. Interestingly this all starts in Genesis with the first prophecy recorded in the Bible.

God creates the heavens and the earth then he creates mankind. Apparently the Devil is already there in the garden and apparently the Fallen Angels were around before Adam and Eve as well. In Genesis 3:15 God tells the Devil this:

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

So the first time the devil gets involved in things God tells him my seed (Jesus) is going to crush his head while all you can do to Jesus is bruise his heel. From there basically we watch the devil try to thwart the plan of God. Move, countermove. Devil tries to kill people to stop the bloodline to prevent the birth of God’s “seed”, and God always hides one person away or allows them to escape. That is a wild oversimplification of move, countermove but essentially that’s what happens. Jesus is born and Herod demands every kid under 2 be murdered. That fails as well. Joseph is told to high tail it with his family to Egypt.

Anyway, for whatever reason, God chooses Israel as HIS land and the Jewish people as HIS people. The Jews escape slavery via Moses and the Exodus but they proceed to start worshipping bronze cows or something and are denied entry to the promised land for 40 years. Once they get in they still don’t praise God as they should. Essentially the Jews keep disrespecting God and he keeps punishing them.

But make no mistake. They are HIS people and they will accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The conflict, the wars, the supernatural events all revolve around Israel.

The Bible talks about Israel being reborn but there wasn’t even an Israel for about 2000 years. Israel was reborn in a single day as prophesied. That’s a neat trick, huh?

My main point here is that Israel belongs to God. The Bible warns that nations who support Israel will be blessed and those that don’t………well, I wouldn’t want to be them. Unfortunately, we in the US might be “them” the way things are going. Maybe not today but certainly a couple of years ago and certainly to happen again.

If you read the news and find yourself supporting Gaza or Hamas you are on the wrong side of God. That is all there is to it.

You can run to Twitter (X) and declare that you are on the right side of history all you want. You aren’t.

Another interesting dynamic is that atheists are all over the internet saying we aren’t TRUE Christians because we don’t love illegal aliens or love Gaza. Love the neighbor is the only verse in the Bible they know. While the Bible does say that, it is a lot more complicated than that. David killed Goliath at the behest of God. Weren’t they neighbors? Jesus told the apostles to leave any town that didn’t accept them and to shake the dust off their feet as they leave the town. God then says that town will fare worse than Soddom and Gomorrah.

Does that sound like “Love Thy Neighbor No Matter What?” Nope. You are also supposed to tell a divisive person TWICE and then never have anything to do with them again. Does that sound like I have to unconditionally support that person? No it does not. Sounds more like you are supposed to TRY to love that neighbor.

And what is Love? Is it supporting the sinner unconditionally with your support no matter what or is love trying to help someone break the bonds of sin and guide them towards salvation?

The word “Love” is certainly used incorrectly in many cases.

I’m not saying this is a “Get Out Of Hell Free” card because it isn’t.

Here’s the bottom line. The Devil is doomed and he knows it. The only thing he can do is try to take mankind with him. All us humans running around made in the image of God is something he hates. He’s trying to change us from God’s creation as well. Trans-humanism, genetic modifications, trying to live forever, etc. We all see it in the news consistently.

Israel is God’s chosen Land. The Jews are his chosen people. If you are on the wrong side of that you are on the wrong side of your Creator.
