Bible Accuracy

This last week saw an escalation between US forces and Iranian proxies in Iraq and Syria. We also seem be engaged militarily with the Houthis in Yemen. This really got me thinking about Bible Accuracy. It’s really quite staggering when you think about it.

Let’s roll back the clock to around 630 B.C. The minor prophet Zephaniah had quite a bit to write about future events. Here is a snippet from Zephaniah 2.

⁴ For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

⁵ Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

I’ll leave it to you to Google the current locations but we all know where Gaza is in the current news cycle. Ashkelon is in Israel and is no stranger to attacks from Gaza.

Uzziah Made Machines

Been a bit since I updated this blog. For an over 2000 year old book, the Bible contains quite a bit of science and technology. While this entry will be pretty brief I found this story interesting. This is the story of young King Uzziah.

I think when we think of wars or battles in the Bible we think of armies marching, possibly having some sort of protective gear on and having hand carried weapons like spears or axes or slingshots.

But in 2 Chronicles 26 along comes a young king named Uzziah who built machines of war.

2 Chronicles 26:15 KJV

¹⁵ And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.

My most recent update was on Ezekiel 38 and it was specifically on Israel and Saudi Arabia brokering peace. Saudi Arabia is Sheba and Dedan, as mentioned in Ezekiel 38:13.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be updating this blog so quickly but just a few days later something else interesting happened.

Ezekiel 38 Update

While I try to keep this site about Technology in the Bible, I’ve always thought that telling the future is a pretty neat technological trick. This entry will be regarding a snippet taken from verse 8 of Ezekiel 38.

One of my favorite teachers is Dr. Chuck Missler. He always said that the Bible is an Integrated Message System. That it is divinely inspired, outside of our understanding of time and space. It is really undeniable (even though many do deny it) that the Bible tells the future.

My favorite prophecy subject is Ezekiel 38. The Gog Magog wars. This post will be brief. Consequently, something happened this week that made the hair on the back of head stand up a little bit. Here is a snippet of Ezekiel 38:8

Convergence Bible Timeline

I find it fascinating that much of Bible Prophecy centers on the re-establishment of Israel as a nation. Not only is prophecy being fulfilled it seems like it is all converging at the same time. My blog here is observational and not the result of intense study of the Bible Timeline. As always I recommend you do your own Bible studying and never just take the word of a singular author on the internet. This is just meant to be a head scratcher.

Israel

Israel was crushed by the Romans in A.D. 70 and Jesus told his Apostles (Matthew24:2)

² And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

He wasn’t wrong.

Abstain From Meats, Telling The Future

One of the greatest Bible Tech tricks is to tell the future. The Bible is the only book that does this, and does it accurately. And it does it quite frequently. I’m going to clue in on a couple of my favorite stories where the Bible accurately predicts the future.

Le’s start in 1 Timothy. And I’m going to skip over a thing or two to get to my favorite soothsayer prophecy. Let’s read 1 Timothy 4:3:

³ Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

I’m actually going to skip past the “forbidding to marry” part because we aren’t there yet although we all know there has been quite a departure from the biblical family unit. But get a load of the next statement that Paul writes: “and commanding to abstain from meats”

Implied Bible Technology

From around Romans 1:19-25 we see a really good example of some implied Bible Technology. Let’s jump right into this.

In Romans 1, Paul is writing to the church in Rome and he let’s them know that God has shown his existence to everyone with this statement in verse 19.

¹⁹ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

The very existence of God is manifest in everyone, and God puts it clearly within their site. In other words, everyone has it hard coded in them that God exists. Quite literally.

For me “for God hath showed it unto them” means the symbiotic relationship of everything on earth. I see it all around. Just staring at the trees and the sky and feeling the wind or experiencing the joy in a relationship is way more than enough for me.

In verse 20 it gets way more specific. Also, for the moment I’m only pasting HALF of verse 20.

²⁰ For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made

Knowledge Will Be Increased

Many folks miss how much technology is discussed in the Bible. It’s really quite astonishing to see explanations of technology written over 2000 years ago. And it is even more astonishing to be able to recognize those hidden technological statements. One of my favorites is God telling Daniel that there will be an increase of knowledge in the end days.

Let’s unpack that statement a bit more, shall we? Here is the verse in Daniel 12:4

Daniel 12:4 KJV

⁴ But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

So at the end MANY SHALL RUN TO AND FRO. That’s an interesting statement. Is it safe to say that is descriptive of our world today? Worldwide travel is not only possible it is common. Lastly, AND KNOWLEDGE SHALL BE INCREASED. While it might be a stretch to think some of the people you see on TikTok or YouTube have had an increase in knowledge, never has their been a time in history when so much information is readily available to anyone. The phones in our pocket are far more powerful computers than the computers of the early space program.

Satan’s Plan, What Is It?

I really don’t know how to describe the story of the Bible other than it is some kind of Cosmic or heavenly chess match. God does something and the devil counterpunches. God responds, leaving the devil to try another end run. What is Satan’s Plan?

At some point, no one really knows when, Satan and his defiant angels were cast out of heaven. Although Satan seems to still have access to heaven as other scriptures indicate. His defiance had to have occurred after angelic beings were created and prior to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Anyway, Satan’s first move was to trick Adam and Eve into consuming something that opened their eyes and supposedly would make them like God’s. Even today that seems to be the lie being told. That we are gods (little g) ourselves. We are not.

God responds by letting the serpent know he’s in for a war. A war in which he will bruise the heel of the woman’s seed (Jesus) and God’s seed will crush his head. It is commonly believed to be the first prophecy recorded in the Bible. I believe they call this the Law of First Occurrence. When God says it for the 1st time it is REALLY important.

How Many Dimensions In The Bible

We live in a world of 3 known dimensions. And our mind can piece together a 3 dimensional representation from 2 dimensions. A good example of this is watching a video on a TV or movie screen. But how many dimensions are there really, and how many dimensions are in the Bible? We sometimes think of time as the 4th dimension. Or at least Einstein did.

Ephesians 3: 17-18 make mention of a 4th dimension.

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁸ May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And later in the New Testament we see an example of the 4th dimension in John 20:19 when Jesus enters a room that has a locked door.

¹⁹ On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”²⁰ After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

That’s a pretty swell trick and the Bible is full of supernatural instances that seem to involve this 4th dimension. I’ll expand on this later.
